| | | | About Victory Family Centre | Victory Family Centre is a megachurch in Singapore. It was established in 1977 as Calvary Charismatic Centre by Rev Rick Seaward. Missions is the essence of the Church. Victory Family Centre Singapore was founded with a vision to go into all the world to share the Good News by mobilizing the local church. To date, the church has planted churches in more than 80 nations of the world. Their vision is to plant churches that will plant churches that will plant churches! They now have more than 8,000 churches worldwide. The church’s mission vision is expressed through the raising up of church planting teams who will target strategic cities with the gospel and pioneer a church which emulates the missions vision of VFC Singapore. These churches will in turn plant churches of their own thus perpetuating and fulfilling the Great Commission of . The church’s ‘Gideonite program’ was designed to facilitate this church planting vision. For the training of church planters, the church established The Asia Theological Centre for Evangelism and Mission (ATCEM).
VFC is one church with twelve geographic regions across Singapore Island. Every two regions are lead by a Regional Pastor and have a combined de-centralized regional service location, office, and cell groups near them, except for Regions 11 and 12 which each have a service centre, so Sunday morning services are held in seven different locations of the city. | | | | Who We Are - Alliance Defending Freedom | The morning Alliance Defending Freedom was launched, Dr. Bill Bright told a story about a little boy who was lost in a wheat field. The townspeople frantically searched for the boy, but they couldn’t find him. Finally, one of the searchers suggested that they all hold hands and walk together across the field. They found the boy, but sadly, not in time to save his life. One of the searchers lamented, "If we had only linked arms sooner..."
Dr. Bright compared the town’s story to the Christian community.
The gathered Christian leaders—more than 30 founders of ADF—recognized that Christians, like the town, needed to unite in order to defend religious freedom before it was too late.
And so, Alliance Defending Freedom was launched on January 31, 1994 to ensure that religious freedom did not share the same fate as the boy in the field. [More] | | |
