| | | | Every Home for Christ | Seeking the lost. Making disciples of Christ.
Every Home for Christ is an international missions organization dedicated to the Great Commission. We believe that Jesus tasked us—His Church—to reach all people in every nation with the Gospel and to disciple them in His ways. Since 1946, Every Home for Christ has remained on a steady committed course toward this vision. In over 130 nations, we are actively equipping the local church to reach the lost with the Gospel and make disciples. The strategy is simple: Everybody lives somewhere, so just go where people live and systematically share the Gospel home to home. The results are incredible. In the last 5 years alone, we have reached over 400 million homes and followed-up to disciple over 70 million people who have responded to the Gospel. [More]
| | | | The Frank Jenner Story - Words of Life Ministries | The Frank Jenner Story by Stephen Tucker
During a time of testimonies at Lansdowne Baptist Church, Bournemouth, England in the Summer of 1952, Rev Francis Dixon heard two very similar stories from two British sailors who had never met each other before. Both sailors, while on shore leave in Sydney, were approached by a man who asked the question: “Young man, if you were to die tonight, where would you be, in heaven or in hell?” In the course of time they both returned home, but the encounter with this mysterious man on George Street, Sydney, left such a deep impression on their hearts and minds that they both sought spiritual help when back in England. Later, they both became Christians, Francis Dixon himself having the pleasure of leading one of the sailors, Peter Culver, to Christ.
Shortly after this, Francis Dixon departed with his wife Nancy for his first preaching tour to Australia and New Zealand. Deeply fascinated by the coincidence of the two stories of the sailors and recognising that he was heading to the land where these events had happened, he resolved to investigate the matter further. Who was this unconventional street-evangelist? Why had he chosen to act in such a way? And how many other people had been impacted by his ministry?
It didn’t take long to get some answers. The tour commenced in Adelaide and, while preaching in a large hall one night, Francis Dixon related the stories of the two sailors from England. At this point, their host – who happened to be sitting next to Mrs Dixon, and to whom they had just been introduced – waved his arms around, jumped up, and said, “I’m another! I’m another!” This man, Murray Wilkes, later told them that during the war the evangelist had approached him while he was running to catch a tram, and that he had given his life to Christ in an army barracks two weeks later.
“Young man, if you were to die tonight, where would you be, in heaven or in hell?”
While in Perth, Francis Dixon again shared the story of the two sailors. This time, a man approached him after the talk to say that he too had become a Christian as a consequence of the single sentence uttered by the evangelist on George Street, Sydney. What’s more, he had gone on to lead Christian Endeavour for Western Australia.
And so, Francis Dixon reached Sydney determined to meet the man behind these stories. On arrival, he related the stories to local Christian worker Alec Gilchrist, and asked if he knew the evangelist. “I know him well”, said Alec. “His name is Frank Jenner. Like me he works with the Forces and he is a sailor himself. He worships at one of the Christian Brethren assemblies in Sydney”.
Later, in Frank and Jessie Jenner’s humble town-house, as Francis Dixon told the four stories of the men who had responded to the evangelist’s simple question, Frank Jenner, with tears in his eyes, fell to his knees and prayed: “O Lord, thank you for tolerating me”. After a time of prayer, Jenner confessed that after speaking to 10 people a day for the previous 16 years, this was the first time he had heard of lasting results. “You know, I never heard that anyone I ever spoke to had gone on for the Lord. Some made professions of salvation when I spoke to them but I never ever knew any more than that”, he said to his guests.
Those who knew Frank Jenner testify that his nature was generous and warm, that he quickly inspired trust in others, and that his life was marked by persistence in prayer.
The circumstances of the Second World War – particularly the horrific images of Japan after the atomic bombs – so heightened Jenner’s sense of urgency that he felt it necessary to confront others directly about their standing before God. Not that this came easily: Jenner struggled to overcome a gambling habit acquired as a sailor, and he suffered persistent health problems throughout his life. He was so aware of his weakness that before each encounter on George Street he silently prayed: “I can do all things through him who gives me strength”. He first coined his now-famous question in 1937, and over the years probably asked nearly 100,000 people.
It is no surprise, then, that his influence extended far beyond Australia. Just a month after meeting Frank Jenner, Francis Dixon spoke at a Methodist Church in Keswick, England. After the service, a man who worked for ‘Mission to Mediterranean Garrisons’ approached Mr Dixon and said, “I too was challenged by Mr. Jenner and now I am in a soul-winning work myself”. Four years after this, while ministering to missionaries in India, Mr Dixon found another convert from George Street, Sydney. She had responded to the evangelist’s challenge and offered her life for service in India. In all, Francis Dixon knew of 10 people who had come to Christ as a consequence of the influence of Frank Jenner. I wonder how many more there are?

| | | | Words of Life Ministries - Words of Life Ministries | Francis Dixon was born in north London in 1910, and became a Christian in 1929 through the preaching of the Irish evangelist W. P. Nicholson.
Before entering the ministry Francis Dixon spent some years in business in London, and his evenings and weekends became increasingly filled with preaching engagements in many places.
He felt the call of God into the ministry, and from 1940 to 1945 he pastored Hamilton Road Mission in Whitstable, Kent. From 1945-1946 he was Assistant Minister to Alan Redpath at Duke Street Baptist Church, Richmond, London.
In late 1946 he commenced his ministry as Pastor of Lansdowne Baptist Church in Bournemouth and quickly saw the blessing of God as the congregations grew.
Francis Dixon was a gifted evangelist and Bible teacher. He could present the gospel (that is, the good news of the Lord Jesus Christ) in a warm, convincing and compelling manner. Many came to faith in Christ through his preaching.
But he was also an able Bible teacher. He could open up any passage from the Bible and explain it and apply it in a searching, straightforward, down to earth way. His preaching was profound, yet simple, and ordinary people benefited from it. They would come away from the services at Lansdowne having met with God in worship, and having heard a message from the Bible which they could understand. People were fed, encouraged, challenged and comforted in what they heard, and stimulated into a closer personal walk with Jesus Christ.
Printed notes of his weekly Bible Study meetings were produced and soon their circulation exceeded the local congregation to a worldwide mailing list of 40,000. These notes and the outlines were food for hungry Christians in all manner of places and of great help to busy pastors in their own preparation and preaching.
Francis Dixon was a pioneer, and would use whatever means to publish an unchanging message. Lansdowne was among the first to produce recordings of services, and these became known as the “Words of Life” recordings. His Bible studies were produced in braille for the blind. He pioneered a telephone ministry to present a simple daily two-minute message of help and encouragement.
Other ministries included overseas preaching tours, and the Keswick Convention (Cumbria) where he was a regular speaker.
He “retired” to Eastbourne, Sussex, in 1975 where he took up an itinerant ministry until the Lord called him home in January 1985. [More]

| | | | Fellowship Tract League | Ohio | Our Purpose
The Bible gives every Christian the responsibility to take the Gospel to the whole world. God has ordained the local church to carry out His Great Commission.
The Fellowship Tract League is a local church ministry of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Lebanon, Ohio. We believe the world can be reached for Christ through the printed page. Our purpose is to provide the material that is needed for God's people all around the world to fulfill His command.
Our Leadership
Pastor William Burrows was the director of the Fellowship Tract League for 5 years before becoming the Pastor of the Fellowship Baptist Church in January 2013. The Fellowship Tract League is directed by Brother Chuck Stanbery, who is the Assistant Pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church. Both of these men strive to serve the Lord faithfully in reaching lost souls here and around the world.
Our Production
Since the ministry began in 1978, our Lord has allowed us to print and ship over 4 billion Gospel tracts into more than 200 countries. Every tract printed by this ministry has been given away free of charge. At the present time, we are printing in over 85 different languages.
The Fellowship Tract League began operation in one room of the church basement with a single sheet-fed press. The ministry now occupies a separate 16,300 square foot building, and operates two presses. Our newest press is capable of printing in full-color, and prints twice as many tracts per hour as the presses we had in the past. The building and equipment are debt free! To God be the Glory!
Our People
The Fellowship Tract League could not exist without the faithful members of Fellowship Baptist Church. For many years, volunteers have gathered every Tuesday morning for several hours to break, band, and box a week's run of tracts in preparation for shipping. Their prayers, labor and financial sacrifices have made the ministry possible.
Your Participation
Please pray. Prayer is our single most important need. Our workers meet every morning for an hour of Bible reading and prayer before the day begins. The ministry's birth and growth have been in answer to prayer. Please pray with us and for us.
Please give. Paper is our single greatest expense. We order each truckload of paper by faith, trusting the Lord to provide. By helping to pay for paper to print God's Word, you will be laying up treasures in heaven. Many pastors have led their churches to include the Fellowship Tract League in their mission budgets. Many individuals give money to pay for a 500-pound roll of paper ($265) which will provide enough paper (this represents the cost of paper alone. Ink and other printing expenses are not included in this price) to reach 125,000 precious souls with a Gospel tract. [More]

Full Text
Once upon a time, there lived a man and a woman in the garden Paradise, where they were terrifically happy.
Their names were Adam and Eve, and God made them.He made them in his image—like little mirrors to reflect his glory. And like everything else God made, he made them good.
It was a wonderful time to be God’s children in his wonderful world.
But things didn’t stay happy and wonderful for long. One terrible day, Adam and Eve sinned. They ate from the only tree in the garden that God had declared off-limits. Adam and Eve had disobeyed God’s word; they believed the lie of the devilish Snake instead of the truth.
God made Adam and Eve go away from the garden Paradise. It wasn’t possible for people so bad to live in Paradise with a God who is so good.
But God made a promise. He promised Adam and Eve that one of their children would someday crush the head ofthat nasty Snake. The Snake Crusherwould put things right.
Sadly, things got a lot worse before they got better. After sin entered the world, everything fell apart. Nothing was the way it should be. The people who were born after Adam and Eve just couldn’t get things right. They almost never did well at obeying God’s commands.
Still, God made more promises to his people about the Snake Crusher—but people never listened for long.
Sin and the Snake seemed to be winning.
Until suddenly—they lost.
And so we come, after all those downs and not many ups, to a manger in the little town of Bethlehem. This is where we meet the Snake Crusher—born as a baby, with animals and stinky shepherds and singing angels all around.
No one understood it completely at the time, but when Mary gave birth to baby Jesus, God was giving his people a new beginning, just as he promised.
As Jesus grew up, there were many surprises. His miracles were remarkable. His teaching was unlike anything anyone had ever heard. But the biggest surprise was that this Chosen One of God was chosen by God to die.The One destined to crush the Serpent would first be crushed himself.
When Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God, died on the cross that Friday afternoon, it seemed to be a shocking evil beyond belief. It was the worst thing that’s ever happened in the world.
But it was also the best thing that’s ever happened. Just as we would expect from God! And just as God planned it.
We suffer for sin—so our Savior Jesus suffered for us.
We break promises—so God was keeping his.
We run from God—so he came to us.
The biggest story ever is the story of God doing what we can’t, to make up for our doing what we shouldn’t. Jesus suffered for our sin that we might share in his sinlessness. God had kicked his people out of Paradise—then did everything it took to bring them back again. Things had fallen apart so they could come back together.
As you may have heard, the Snake Crusher who died on the cross didn’t stay dead. He couldn’t!Death had no claim on him. So on the third day, God raised him from the dead.
A whole bunch of people saw the risen Jesus, and ate with him, and told their friends (just as we should tell our friends) that Jesus is really alive. Forty days later, God lifted him up into the sky and gave him the seat of honor at his right hand.
Because Jesus’s work was done, he sat down. And God gave him the name above all names, so that at the name of Jesus everybody and everything would start to sing and shout and worship.
The Snake Crusher is coming back again to wipe out all the bad guys and wipe away every tear. He’s coming to make a new beginning and to finish what he started. He’s coming to give us the home we once had and might have forgotten that we lost.
So keep waiting for him. Keep believing in him. Keep trusting that the story isn’t over yet. God’s promises never fail and the Promised One never disappoints.
One day we will see him. One day we will be with him.One day there’ll be nothing but the best days—day after day after day.
Forever and ever, it will be a wonderful time to be God’s children in God’s wonderful world.
If you believe in Jesus and believe that this story is true, talk to God and say something like this:
Dear God, thank you for loving me so much that you sent your Son Jesus to take away my sin. I’m sorry for the bad things I’ve done. Please forgive me and help me to love and trust you more every day. Amen. [More]
